Greg Clayton is the cornerstone and Principal Consultant of Contracting Engineers, Inc. He started CEI with over 30 years of experience in the general engineering construction industry. His career began in 1968 at CalTrans, after which he completed his professional career at one of the most successful general engineering construction companies in Southern California, Sukut Construction, Inc. He left Sukut to start his own company, Clayton Engineering, Inc., in 1984. Clayton Engineering, Inc. became a very successful general engineering construction company servicing both the public and private sectors. Greg, being the consummate entrepreneur, pulled together a new team in the fall of 2000 and started Contracting Engineering, Inc. As a licensed civil engineer, Greg is able to offer CEI clients high quality preconstruction planning and value engineering services, along with dispute resolution and litigation support, including consulting and expert witness testimony.

Jane Clayton is a valuable member of the CEI team. When the company started building momentum, Jane joined CEI to set up stronger financial control of operations to ensure accurate, efficient transfer of data from the field to accounting. Jane brought 30 years of professional accounting experience to Contracting Engineers, Inc., having specialized in setting up accounting systems for start-up and small businesses. She manages the financial and administrative operations of CEI.
