Contracting Engineers, Inc. (CEI) is a construction consulting firm and Veteran Owned Small Business, founded in 2000 by Gregory Clayton, PE, in Southern California. CEI draws on a wealth of experience as a general engineering contractor specializing in site excavation and grading, street and highway construction projects, sewer, water and flood control systems and site improvement projects for commercial, residential and public sector agencies.
CEI provides construction management expertise, enabling developers and contractors to successfully implement their projects from preconstruction planning and design constructability, budget, bid proposal preparation and analysis, construction management, quality control testing and inspection coordination and management through post construction and claim services.
Government and municipal contracting officers can be supported during the preconstruction phase, contract management through to post construction evaluations.
CEI provides surety claim support, including cost estimates to complete or repair, construction management and support services to exonerate claims against the bonds.
In litigation support for attorneys CEI provides independent claim validation and verification, analysis of contract disputes and contract change orders, neutral third party claim resolution, and construction expert witness testimony.
